About the firm.

A small firm in Chancery Lane. Three partners, six areas, and one rule: you know what a step costs before it starts.

The firm

Mensah & Hart started in 2016, when D. Mensah and R. Hart left larger firms to work the way they thought a firm should work: one named lawyer, a written note after every step, and a price agreed before the work starts. S. Adeyemi joined in 2019.

The firm is small on purpose. Three partners, no juniors, no handover. The lawyer you meet is the lawyer who reads your papers, speaks to the other side, and goes to the hearing if there is one.

We work from one office, at 14 Chancery Lane, London. Most meetings happen there, or by phone and video when the matter allows it.

Three rules

One named lawyer.

Your case is led by one partner from the first meeting. If another lawyer helps, you meet them first and you agree it.

A written note after every step.

After the first meeting, and after every call with the other side, you get a note of what was said the same day.

A price agreed before the work starts.

Every step has a price before it starts. If a step takes less work than we priced, you pay less. If it takes more, we tell you before we carry on, and you decide.

The partners

D. Mensah Partner, Family

R. Hart Partner, Property

S. Adeyemi Partner, Employment
