Because that is where the work is. A proved answer spends most of its tokens checking itself; the bill shows the split, so you can see what proof costs and decide where it is worth it.
You still pay for the tokens spent — but the run is marked unproved, the failing step is identified, and automatic retries of a failed tool-call check are free.
Yes. Every plan has hard monthly caps per key and per project, with alerts at 50%, 80% and 100%. Runs stop at the cap — they do not drift past it.
Not inside a billing year. Lab and Institute plans pin a model version; you move when you choose, at the prices in your agreement.
